Żuki 10 grew from a simple idea — to create a place where you can truly rest. No rush, no noise, no pretending.
But when we started breaking ground for the cottages, we discovered an astonishing connection.
Exactly 100 years ago, in the 1920s, my great-grandparents – Józef (known in the family as Józiczek) and Anna Sawicki – settled on this very land.
Great-grandfather Józef built a family farm here, its heart being the wooden barn raised in the 1930s. This is where their daughters grew up – Zina and Tomek’s grandmother Irena (whose husband, Tomek’s grandfather, was also named Józef!). Today, a century later, Tomek’s parents still live right next door, and we have had the honour of giving this family land a whole new life.
In creating Żuki 10, we never wanted to build an impersonal complex. We wanted to preserve the memory of the people who came before us. That is why our restored Barn bears the name of great-grandfather Józiczek (and grandfather Ziutek), and the three cosy cottages are named after great-grandmother Ania, great-aunt Zinka and grandmother Irenka.
Here the days flow differently: coffee on the terrace in the morning, the forest and walks by day, a campfire, a steaming hot tub or pure peace in the evening. Hi, I’m Emilka! At our homestead in Żuki I look after what matters most – the special atmosphere, the cosiness of the interiors and the beauty of every corner where you rest.
Day to day I run my own beauty salon in Zabłudów, where I help my clients care for their beauty and deeply relax. For guests of our cottages I have prepared something special: you can combine your stay in Żuki with professional beauty treatments and relaxing massages at my salon. Hi, I’m Tomek! Welcome to our cottages in the charming village of Żuki. I created this place out of a love of pure peace, nature and local history. Privately, I’m passionate about motorcycle travel around the world. Thanks to thousands of kilometres ridden on two wheels, I know exactly what guests need to truly rest and clear their heads.
